Astra-Glaze-SW® glazed units are lightweight concrete blocks with a thermosetting glazing compound permanently molded to one or more faces. The glazed facing is formed in individual molds to assure dimensional uniformity regardless of minor variations in the raw block. After heat-treating in gas-fired tunnel kilns, the facing becomes an integral part of the unit. Astra-Glaze-SW® units offer freedom of expression in design through a variety of colours, shapes, and scoring patterns.

Astra-Glaze-SW® units offer a finished load-bearing or non-load-bearing wall constructed in a single trade, one-step operation, reducing construction time and costs.

The satin finish will last the lifetime of the building, eliminating the need to repaint or refinish.
